Lawn Mowing/Grass Cutting

If you’ve got grass, you’ll need to cut it! Not only does it look better, but your lawn will be healthier and with proper maintenance (see “Improving your Lawn” service) your grass will grow more strongly.

My lawn mowing/grass cutting service starts in early spring (typically March) and I will cut your lawn for you on a weekly or fortnightly basis until the end of the growing season, which is usually late October.

I am equipped to cut all sorts of lawns, whatever the shape or size. All of my mowers are petrol powered, so you don’t need to be at home, and I will use whichever mower best suits your garden. I currently have a small mower which I use for cutting small areas or for accessing lawns that are up a set of steps, a bigger mower which I use on larger lawns and a roller mower which not only gives a better cut, but also produces a great striping effect.

At the start of the season, I will set the mower blades quite high so that it is only the tips of the grass that gets cut. This is better for the lawn as it doesn’t tear out the grass as the growth is just getting going. As the season progresses, I will lower the blades and the grass will be cut much shorter – your lawn will look great.

To really complete the look I can also trim the edges of your lawn. This is well-worth doing and makes the lawn look so much better.

My mowers all have grass boxes, and a couple have a mulching facility, for recycling the cuttings and directly feeding the grass.  Removal of the waste grass has an additional charge, but I can add grass to a compost heap in your garden, if you have space, or put it into the local authority green waste bin if you have one.
